JCommerce supports medical research on SARS-CoV-2 by participating in the Folding@home project

At JCommerce we are sharing the computing power of our servers to support scientists in their research into the properties and behavior of SARS-CoV-2 proteins. 

We have joined the Folding@home crowd-sourcing project initiated by Stanford University. The goal is to find an effective treatment method to stop the spread of the coronavirus. To carry out scientific research, high-level computing power is required, so it is possible to take advantage of the computing power of external machines as part of the project. This way anyone can make some contribution and help to expedite work on the medicine.   

Individual users can also contribute by joining the project and sharing the power of their computers. We encourage JCommerce employees to do so – all you need to do is to visit the project’s website and download the software. Once installed, the user can define to what extent the application should affect the functioning of their machine. The application works in the background only when the computer has an Internet connection.
