Clinical Software System Development
Development of software for medical equipment that identifies patients at risk of malnutrition.
Nutritional assessment application
The developed module integrates assessments from electronic devices with standard clinical observations and calculates an individual patient's risk score. The system automatically notifies nurses of each patient’s status and modifies their assessment schedules according to the risk score. If required, the standard interval between assessments (5 days) can be reduced. A digitalized system of assessment management reduces the risk of error.
The Clinical Software System module improves outcomes through its ease of use. Training is easy and, once completed, clinicians can spend more time with patients and less time filling out forms. The Clinical Software System module reduces hospital costs as well – because patients get better quicker and because less time is needed to collect operational data. The module is also a great research tool. Millions of observation sets have now been captured on the system, and researchers are using the data to investigate important clinical issues
- It monitors patients in real-time, anywhere in the hospital
- It rapidly identifies the deteriorating condition of patients and forces earlier intervention
- It allows clinicians to spend more time at the bedside and less time doing paperwork
